Day 10 – Pick a one line song lyric to serve as an epigraph to your poem. Then, write the poem to accompany it.
‘Cause she’s a Supergirl and Supergirls don’t cry
Just weeks ago she was the apple of your eye
You then packed up and left her high and dry
You didn’t even take the time to say goodbye
But she’s a Supergirl and Supergirls don’t cry
She’ll soon have other, bigger fish to fry
And you’ll be wondering what went awry:
“Oh shit, I ditched her once again… but why?!?”
The end of this week has been extra busy, so I’m a little behind with my daily poems. Fear not, I’ll be back on track in no time!
